The purpose of this No-Resale Policy is to ensure that goods, services, and resources provided by Front Door Communities are used for their intended charitable purpose and benefit eligible individuals and communities.  As a nonprofit organization, our resources are limited and are intended to support our mission rather than generate private financial gain.

Items distributed or donated by Front Door Communities are provided solely for the personal use of the vulnerable recipient or for the intended charitable purpose.  Staff and volunteers may not: 

  • Resell, auction, barter, or otherwise exchange any item received from the organization for money, goods or services

  • Purchase items from the organization with the intent to resell them

  • Misrepresent their eligibility or intended use of items to obtain goods for resale

  • ​Transfer large quantities of items to third parties for commercial purposes

This policy applies to but is not limited to:

  • Food and groceries

  • Clothing and household goods

  • Medical supplies

  • Educational materials

  • Equipment

  • Any other goods or services distributed by the organization

VIOLATION

If Front Door Communities reasonably believes that a recipient has violated this policy, the organization may take one or more of the following actions:​

  • Deny future access to program and distributions

  • Require the return of improperly obtained items, when feasible

  • Revoke volunteer priveleges

  • Refer suspected fraud or theft to the appropriate authorities when warranted

The organization reserves the right to investigate suspected violations using available information and documentation
